 Thanks to your loyal support over the past 23 years, the Toy Lab has become a Main Street Sarasota destination for fun and happy memories. We have watched your children and grandchildren grow up and we are honored to play a role in their development.

We have reached a stage in our own story that involves growing. We are excited to announce a new larger store just one block down on Main St! We can now be found at 1437 Main St in between Duval’s restaurant and Famous Philly Cheesesteaks.

With any move, things get a little messy. We appreciate your patience as we continue to settle into our new store!

Just as our families are growing, we are excited about the possibilities a larger space will provide for more room, more toys and more fun! Come GrOw with us!

Our Story

Toy Lab is a Sarasota institution and has been a staple of Main Street for over 20 years. It was first opened by the Waehler family in 1999 to serve as a more personal shopping experience than you would find in big box toy stores, manned by people who are passionate about customers and toys!

A series of owners have kept the thrill of the store alive and it was recently purchased by a combo of young families! Our children provide “expert” toy opinions as we cover a wide range of ages. Toy Lab is a labor of love, a landmark of Main Street, and (in our humble opinion) the best toy store in town.
